Most industries use compressed air to make cylinders perform various functions in a machine or on an assembly line. X-Block ® is added to any group or type of double acting cylinder - existing or new- to cut air consumption and energy usage by more than half ( see energy cost) .

Production Benefits

By using less air to the production unit(s) the air flow to the cylinders is more even, more stabile. This helps ensure that there is sufficient air for the cylinders' movements and enough air to cushion the impact of the cylinders' rods as it reaches the end of each stroke. As a result, the cylinders often run more smoothly, decreasing service requirements and increasing productivity (see smoother operating cycles).

Other advantages of X-Block ® are:
  1. faster cylinder speeds
  2. lower air exhaust 
  3. reductions in noise levels
  4. other cost reductions

 

Investment payback period on energy savings are estimated at under one year depending on cylinder/compressor configurations and electricity rates. Decreases in electricity consumption also result in lower carbon dioxide or CO2 emissions (see CO2).
